Hello all, just wanted to give an update on a few changes to the rules for next year. I also want to remind people of some things.
1)"Next year we will be using Level 5/6 rated judges for Bronze level Xcel.
2) Reminder that the level 2 and 3 Xcel routines are to be performed as read in text with the latest changes in the errata. This is not new, however some people just read the text in the compulsory book and did not have the changes that were set forth by USAG. Next year, get the corrections or your kids will be scored accordingly.
3) The state qualifying score for levels 4,5,6 will now be a 31.00 all around. This will match the USAG mobility score. This is up from a 30.00 all around from previous years. We believe this will be simpler for people to follow.
4) Please remember all sanctioned meets in Iowa scores will have to be sent to Megan Robinson at Sapphire Gymnastics for verification purposes into state meets. Xcel meets are excluded from this.
5) If you have not done so, please get me your meet dates for the 2011-2012 season. This includes, compulsory, optional, and Xcel meets.
6) Remember specialists are allowed at at state meet for level 7,8,9,10. Need to declare on your entry form. They will compete in the same division as the all around girls. There is no special division for these kids.
7) State meet bids are due to me by June 30, which is approximately six weeks away.
8) USAG is starting to enforce via fines and sanction revocations people breaking the rules. Please have your kids and coaches registered properly. Meet directors NEED TO GET ONLINE AND CHECK ATHLETES AND COACHES CURRENT REGISTRATIONS. THIS IS IMPORTANT, WE NEED FEEDBACK BY THE END OF BUSINESS FRIDAY.
OPTION A- KEEP THE OPTIONAL STATE MEET AND THE XCEL STATE MEET THE SAME WEEKEND WITH THE SAME HOST CLUB.
OPTION B- ALLOW THE OPTIONAL STATE MEET TO RUN AN XCEL INVITATIONAL IN CONJUNCTION WITH SAID STATE MEET, WITH AN INDEPENDENT XCEL STATE MEET LATER IN THE YEAR PROBABLY END OF APRIL OR EARLY MAY. Please get back to me with your opinion on this matter!!!!!!!!!
