Congratulations Sapphire Gymnastics for being awarded Compulsory state meet. The rationale used was from previous board. They decided to change geographic location each year (east/west) Since Sapphire was the only club to bid on that side of state, it was awarded to them. I am sure they will put on a great meet for all. Please educate your parents early and often. Someone will be competing on Friday. That means moms and dads will miss work and athletes will miss school. It is a remote possibility we may have two sessions on Friday. Likewise, most likely someone will be competing Sunday night. That means a late night getting home. Do not have parents approaching the host club complaining. You are in charge of your parents and athletes, they represent you and your club. Next year compulsory state will be on the east side of the state if we receive appropriate bids. Iowa Gymnest will be hosting optional and prep op state meet so congratulations to them as well. I think we are close to having the contact list up to date. Please do not email Winterset Gymnastics, she wants off the list and has made that very clear to me. Yikes!!! Your new state board is off and running and everyone is excited to be working for the advancement of our member clubs.
